1 - Music Helps With Discipline!
I believe the downside to the obsessive game playing today is that it breeds “instant gratification”.
Playing guitar, piano or any instrument causes you to critically think about what you’re doing which develops FOCUS. You learn to CONCENTRATE on the task at hand, a invaluable skill in school.
Daily practice plans teaches kids to organize and doing daily practice teaches COMMITTMENT and DISCIPLINE. We are setting up our children for future success in life with music lessons!

Many studies have shown and proven that music lessons IMPROVE CRITICAL THINKING AND TEST SCORES.
When learning a new skill, it takes really paying attention and figuring out how to do something completely new.

Not only learning how to play music but to be able to create music builds an innate SELF CONFIDENCE. Each lesson should provide a child with encouraging, confidence building words from the teacher. Not just a teacher but a role model and mentor.

In every lesson there is an interaction between teacher and student which creates a healthy RESPECT which carries over to their daily school activities.
Music events like recitals, band performance events or jumping into some group lessons teaches COMMUNICATION. In a group we have to listen to each other and learn to respect each other’s ideas.

Playing guitar, piano or singing is fun and exciting! Children learn their real value and learn how to shine from lessons to performance. What a confidence builder!
