Hi everybody! It's Sid Bardfield here with the latest news for Metairie Music Academy. I am excited for the students who will be performing their second recital next month. Also, we'll have a couple new student's that will be performing and other students have said they want to attend and support the recital but are not ready to perform yet.
Whatever group you fall into, the main thing is that we're all in this together. It's like one big family and we should be very supportive of one another.
There's always the "nerves" thing when performing but what got me over that is the thinking that I'm bringing a gift to someone. As long as you do your best and have fun that is all that is required. All of you work hard at this and deserve for the world to hear you're playing no matter what level are at.
We have Thanksgiving coming up this month and next month Christmas which is coming quick. Hard to believe another year has gone by.
Here's an "Upgrade Special" I'm running this month. I'd like to offer the 30 minute students if you want to get better faster to upgrade to the 60 minute lesson once per week. If you upgrade before Dec 1 you'll recieve your first minute lesson free.

Bruce Gandle
In this business you never know where a student will come from my wife was having a medical procedure done and her anesthesiologist asked her what her husband did for a living. Of course, she told him I was a guitar teacher and he said," I want guitar lessons". That was Dr. Bruce. He's been doing lessons since Sept of 2021.
Dr. Bruce has really showed rapid growth in the last couple of months playing his finger exercises great, learning his guitar rhythms, several songs and even playing to drum patterns. His son, Peter is taking guitar lessons online and I hope to get them playing together soon.
1. What instruments do you play? Guitar 2. How long have you taken lessons? Just over a year 3. Who are your favorite musical artists? Grateful dead but my tastes go from rock to some heavy metal to country with an incredibly limited dose of hip hop. 4. What are your other hobbies besides music?
Golf, yoga, passionately follow sports and love reading fiction 5. Favorite food?

7. Do you have any performances coming up?
I do a have a performance coming up. Check with my agent and it appears I may be booked for spring of 2028. Lol
