Hi everybody! It’s Sid Bardfield here with the latest news for Metairie Music Academy. Back to school is upon us and I myself with a 9 year old, like you all getting everything ramped up for a great year!
I always have to say how powerful music lessons are in helping our children get better grades with great concentration skills, memory skills and perseverance. Lots of social skills are learned every step of the way. And most importantly having fun playing their favorite songs!

Our mission is to reach as many children as possible with guitar, piano, vocals and learning how to perform to be the best that they can be. And I see many of the adult students are really shining with their playing. I see confidence growing lesson by lesson.
I’ve always been a performer, for decades, singing and playing and as rewarding as it is for me, it is just as rewarding to see all my students growing at each lesson. I even have a student that has been with me 12 years and he is as enthusiastic as ever about playing guitar!

Hi! I’m Ralph. I am a golden retriever. If you throw my purple mouse, I will run and slide until I get him and bring it to my mother! I also don’t have one tooth in my little mouth but as you can see I am still a very handsome boy and still enjoy my crunchies all day long!!
