Hi everybody! It’s Sid Bardfield here with the latest news for Metairie Music Academy. Just want to remind everyone that there are 2 Recitals/Performance’s a year at no cost to you and the next one will be in November. Only 3 month’s away.
Recitals are great for kids to adults so they can perform in front of family and friends. If you didn’t participate in the June recital then let me help you get over whatever is holding you back. If it’s just fear or not confident enough in your playing. I’ve been through it all myself and will personally coach you so that you can do it.
Metairie Music Academy is growing with electric and acoustic guitar, piano, bass guitar and voice/singing students. It’s so very exciting and rewarding to see my students get the results they are looking for by playing or singing their favorite songs with ease and building confidence.
The goal of this Academy is to help students to build skills to play the instrument of their choice or play more than one instrument or play and be able to sing while playing an instrument. The fun factor of music in the uncertain world is a great blessing! What an amazing pursuit I believe to deal with the issues of life such as anxiety, depression, social awkwardness, that can take us to another world of fun, enjoyment and balance!
Music is medicinal, therapuetic and a mind sharpener. Not only the playing factor but what about the students that want to write songs and get their feelings out in their music? Does it matter if they’re the next Taylor Swift or Charlie Puth? Not at all. It’s just going through process of what do I have to say out of my heart. Sort of like journaling but with writing songs. If that’s something you never thought you could do, you can. Even the kids can write songs right, there are kids songs out there! Just like kids art, they draw amazing pictures and it teaches and explores creativity!
Let’s stay down this path together and build our families up!

He understands how music works and we’ve gone over what really sounds good for equipment. He’s also put together a really nice rig of guitars, pedals and amps to perform with. Can’t wait to see what the future holds, keep up the great work Mark!
